Contact Lenses and Glasses

You may need glasses or contacts to perform your daily work and enjoy the beauty of life around you.  We will determine the proper prescription for you as part of a comprehensive examination.  If you need contacts, we will fit you into the appropriate pair in our office.  If you need glasses we will give you a prescription and refer you to an excellent optician. 

Lasik, PRK and other Refractive Surgery

Many patients are interested in LASIK Eye Surgery in Colorado to help decrease their dependence on glasses and contacts in pursuit of an active Colorado lifestyle.  Dr. Jacobs performs state-of-the-art laser eye surgery procedures including LASIK and Custom LASIK, to reduce or eliminate nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.  We offer free screening appointments to determine whether you are a candidate for these surgeries.

CK

If you had good vision through the first four decades of your life, but now need reading glasses, you may be an appropriate candidate for CK.  The CK procedure uses gentle radio waves to reshape the cornea to reduce or eliminate a patient’s need for reading glasses.  We offer free screening appointments to determine whether you are a candidate for CK. 

Cataract Surgery

You may want to learn more about cataract surgery, which can restore vivid color and sharp clarity to your vision that gradually has faded in recent years.  Dr. Jacobs performs cataract surgery implanting either a traditional lens or a multifocal lens.  For many patients, a multifocal lens restores the ability to see both up close and at a distance, reducing or eliminating the need for glasses of any kind. 

Diabetic Eye Care

Dr. Jacobs will monitor your vision carefully to determine whether your diabetes is impacting your eyes and will provide the medical care and laser procedures necessary to optimize your vision over your life. 

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelids sometimes develop various conditions that can reduce the visual field, pose medical threats, and/or raise cosmetic concerns for the person involved.  The most common of these conditions results from natural sagging of the eyelid skin as a person ages.  Dr. Jacobs can perform a number of procedures to address these problems. 

Glaucoma Treatment

Glaucoma requires ongoing medical care to preserve vision.  It also can require laser or surgical care.  Dr. Jacobs will carefully monitor your condition and provide appropriate treatment.
