Jason M. Jacobs, M.D.
Dr. Jacobs trained at institutions of the highest caliber. He graduated first in his class from Harvard University in 1993 with a degree in optical physics. In 1997, he received his M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine, where he also received the high honor of Alpha Omega Alpha membership. He performed his internship in transitional medicine at HealthONE-Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, and his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

During his education, Dr. Jacobs conducted research on the excimer laser at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, which is the laboratory credited with developing the excimer laser technology used in laser eye surgery for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. He holds several patents on excimer laser procedures.
Dr. Jacobs has been in private practice in Denver since 2001. He is Specialty Board Certified and is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is Chairman of the Physician Advisory Board for the prestigious, state-of-the-art Harvard Park Surgical Center. Dr. Jacobs also is a Clinical Instructor on the faculty of the Transitional Internship Program at HealthONE-Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Dr. Jacobs lives in Arapahoe County with his wife and daughter. In his leisure time he enjoys spending time with family, playing squash, reading, and hiking through Colorado’s beautiful mountain views. |
